Program Description
The objective of the Accounting System Management Program is to provide students with fundamental accounting and computing skills consistent with the demand for entry level accounting careers in business and industry.
Work Places
Graduates of this program can expect to attain entry-level positions at legal offices or small companies with their own accounting offices.
Professional Preparation
Students gain hands-on skills in microcomputer keyboarding and formatting, and numeric keypad; how to use Operating Systems to manage their computers and data; Microsoft Office applications using word processing and spreadsheets to create reports, manage communications and data and use email; fundamental accounting principles and how they apply to the financial cycle of business; and computerized accounting software package to maintain the financial records of a company.
