The program in Medical Information Systems Network provides students with a conceptual overview of information systems focusing on record management, healthcare safety and privacy and medical terminology.

Work places include physicians’ offices, medical centers, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and medical billing offices. The specific duties of the medical information system specialist will often vary from office to office due to office size, location, and specialty.
Professional Preparation
Specific program objectives are designed to provide graduates with an understanding of medical information systems concepts and terminology in the field. The graduate of this program will have gained practical experience and ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size medical information system infrastructure. The graduate will be able to deal with basic mitigation of medical information system security threats.
